Congratulations to Bill Pike from Hubbard Ohio as our August 2014 bike of the month winner!

Bill and his wife Nicole have really decked out their 2014 Victory Cross Country.

From the 23 inch front Maxton style wheel to the wide slot exhaust tips this bike turns heads when cruising down the highway. The Tuner series mufflers adds an aggressive sound yet remains quiet enough as to not wake the neighbors for those late nights or when leaving for work early the next day. Want to hear the radio? No problem with these mufflers.  Bill decided he wanted a little more of an aggressive stance so he lowered the rear end 2" with Witchdoctors lowering link and also added the shorter kickstand to keep the bike safe while parked. Bill and his wife Nicole take day trips all the time and say the bike rides like a dream and is actually a little more comfortable than stock.

Bill changed out the handlebars to the outraged style and went with the Avon grips and Voodoo Style mirrors. The bars are back about 2" and as Bill says in his video his hands are now more comfortable and no longer "tingle" when riding. The windvest windshield also helps direct air up and over him for a more comfortable ride. Other small additions that make a big impact on the bikes overall appearance are the RJ Custom Thrush style foot pegs, Barracuda Customs carbon fiber cam and derby covers, Witchdoctors dash style toe pegs and rear master cylinder cover.

Now to the most eye catching part of the bike, the 23" Maxton style front wheel. Bill always gets asked "how does that thing ride with a wheel that big?" Like its on rails is his reply. It goes straight as an arrow with no wobble feeling or vibration. At first he was a little nervous about it being ride able but one trip down the highway and he was a believer. Witchdoctors installed the wheel and tire combo as well as painted the front fender to match. An ABS ring keeps the brakes functioning normally while still providing the safety of the ABS system. The triple trees are from Vic Baggers and are a breeze to install by watching the Witchdoctors DIY garage videos.

When asked whats next Bill says he has some small details he wants to do like billet cheese wedges and some saddlebag extensions painted to match. Its a never ending process when customizing your Victory motorcycle and we think Bill did a great job!
