2014 and newer Indian Chief Classic, Chief Vintage, Chieftain, Dark Horse, and Roadmaster models use a four-wire CAN-bus low-voltage computer controlled wiring system. Therefore, when wiring a trailer to these models, it is required to install the VCC007-50 CAN-bus module. The steps below outline the components needed to wire a trailer hitch to the 2014-newer Indian models: 1.) The first component you will need is the VCC007-49 sub-harness. 2.) Next, you will need the VCC007-50 to convert the CAN-bus signal. 3.) If your trailer uses a five-wire system, move on to step 4. If your trailer uses a four-wire system, you will need an EC0774 five-to-four wire converter. 4.) All models require the use of our GL18007-IU Isolator If you need a matched set of trailer plugs, RIVCO offers our TWC001 and TWC002 plug sets.
