How the RAM Ball-and-Socket System Works

Every RAM mount is built from three interchangeable parts: a base that attaches to your vehicle, a double socket arm, and a holder or accessory for your device. Each base and holder ends in a rubber ball, and the arm’s sockets clamp around those balls when you turn the center knob. Self-leveling holders reduce spills, but lids are recommended off-road.

Is it waterproof?

RAM mounts are built for all-weather use and the hardware resists corrosion. Unless a holder is specifically rated waterproof, your device still needs its own protection from rain and dust.

Will it damage my handlebars or paint?

Rubber-padded contact points and correct hardware torque prevent damage. Do not over-tighten clamps on chrome or painted parts.

What warranty does RAM offer?

RAM Mounts backs its mounts and components with a limited lifetime warranty. Mounted devices are not covered.
