The 3 Star Industries Can-Am Maverick 2-Piece Scratch-Resistant Windshield (part number CAMMAV-GX2-MR1 and variants) is a two-piece windshield with a scratch-resistant upper section. Each section mounts on its own, so you can ride with the full windshield, just the top or just the bottom.

Choose Your Mounting

• Loop clamps (standard): vibration-damping clamps of zinc-plated steel with a vinyl coating.
• Quick Connect clamps: powder-coated two-piece steel clamps. Once installed, each section comes off or goes back on by removing a knob bolt. Adds automotive trim along the sides.
• Quick Install straps: military-grade hook-and-loop straps thread through slots in the windshield. No tools needed. Adds automotive trim along the sides.

Vents

Optional vents sit in front of the driver and passenger. Slide the cover side to side to open or close them, so you can get airflow without taking off the lower section.

Two-Piece Design Through the Seasons

In cold weather, run both sections for full wind protection. In warm weather, take off the lower section for airflow and keep the upper section on as a bug shield.

Scratch-Resistant vs. Standard

Standard polycarbonate is tough but scratches easily when you wipe dust off it. The MR10 upper section on this windshield has a hard coat that resists abrasion and UV, so the area you look through stays clear longer. A standard 1/4" Lexan version is also available.

Installation

Follow the 3 Star instructions. Inspect the windshield for damage before you peel off the protective film. Fit the clamps or straps, set the lower section on the hood line so the trim bubble seals the gap, and tighten evenly. Don't overtighten the clamps on polycarbonate.

Before You Install

3 Star says the windshield can't be returned or refunded once the protective film is removed. Check for damage, confirm the fit and check the mounting hardware first.

Care and Maintenance

Rinse dust off with plenty of water before wiping. Use a soft cloth and a cleaner made for polycarbonate. Never use ammonia-based glass cleaners, gasoline or abrasive pads.
